Annual report 2023 (in German)
At its delegates' meeting in 2010, the IG Kunsthandwerk Holz decided to establish a joint vocational training fund – the Berufsbildungsfond (BBF). The purpose of this independent fund is to relieve the burden on training companies, particularly with regard to bearing the costs of providing professional training, and to distribute these costs across all professionals and amateur craftspeople in our industries. The vocational training fund has its own fund commission, which is elected by the board of IG Kunsthandwerk Holz. This is provided for by Art. 60 para. 4 of the Swiss Vocational and Professional Education and Training Act (VPETA), which allows the fund to be declared generally mandatory. This means that non-organised companies can also be obliged to pay into the fund. On 1 May 2015, the vocational training fund came into effect in accordance with the declaration of general application by the Swiss Federal Council on 31 March 2015 (link below).
Serving on the BBF Fund Commission are:
Reto Odermatt, Chair / wood sculpture delegate
Urs Schwarz, basket and wickerwork design delegate
Mario Aeberhard, treasurer
