At its delegates' meeting in 2010, the IG Kunsthandwerk Holz decided to establish a joint vocational training fund BBF. The purpose of this independent fund is to relieve the training companies in particular from the ÜK costs and the distribution of these costs to all professionals and leisure craftsmen of our industries. The Vocational Training Fund has its own fund commission, which is elected by the board of IG Kunsthandwerk Holz. This possibility arises from Art. 60 para. 40 of the Vocational Training Act, which allows the BBF to be declared generally binding. This means that non-organized companies can also be obliged to pay into the fund. On May 1, 2015, the VET/PET fund came into force according to the declaration of general applicability by the Federal Council on March 31, 2015 (link below).
