Together with 12 other professions, IGKH apprentices made an appearance at the special SwissSkills show on micro-professions in 2014 (swiss-skills.ch). IGKH – through its delegate Pepito F. Zwahlen, who was responsible for coordinating the participating associations – was also heavily involved in organising this fantastic event, regarded as one of the highlights of SwissSkills. Under the direction of Urban Hauser, our apprentices produced a chess set that attracted great attention. A large part of the work was done in the apprentice workshops, with the final pieces finished in front of the audience at the show.
