The Interessengemeinschaft Kunsthandwerk Holz (IGKH) – the "Wood Craft Syndicate" – was founded as an umbrella organisation for the Swiss associations of professional woodturners, basket and wickerwork designers, barrel makers, white coopers and wood sculptors for jointly organising basic training and continuing education. It represents the interests of its member associations as a skills-promoting "Organisation der Arbeitswelt" (Organisation of the World of Work – OdA) in dealings with the Swiss federal government and cantonal authorities.
